According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) there are more than one million people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in the U.S. About 20% of these people are not even aware that they are infected.  Thus, individuals who are not aware of their infection may be spreading the virus without even realizing it.  The purpose of this education program is to describe the current status of HIV/AIDs in the United States and around the world and treatment initiatives designed to slow the progression of HIV disease.

Contact Hours will be awarded to:  Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Midwife, Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, ALF Administrators.
