Strategies for Off-Duty Encounters *Agency Registration Required

This course will help you be better prepared for off-duty encounters, understanding the dynamics involved, including: knowing your capabilities and limitations; deciding when to get involved; weapon & equipment carrying methods; preplanning and identifying yourself to on-duty officers to prevent an unintended “blue on blue” threat. 
 
This 16-hour course is designed for all sworn police officers, state attorneys, corrections officers who carry off-duty firearms. 
 
The course has a short lecture portion and is primarily force-on force-scenario based.  
Agency approval required before registration. Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration.This course has restricted access to only currently sworn and direct support staff of an agency.
