CourseGraphic The 40-hour ACA Designation course is approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services for those who wish to obtain the State of Florida 6-20 (Company) or 5-20 (Independent) All Lines Adjuster License. The designation must also be completed by Public Adjuster Apprentice applicants prior to taking the state exam. Successful completion of the ACA Designation entitles the student to obtain an All Lines License without taking a state examination. This license enables the adjuster to work in all areas of insurance claims including, Property & Liability Insurance; Automobile claims; Hurricane and Catastrophe adjusting; and Workers' Compensation.

An applicant for licensure must be:
• A natural person at least 18 years of age.
• A resident of the state of Florida.
• A United States citizen or legal alien who possesses a work authorization from the United States Immigration and Naturalization Services.
• All applicants with the Florida Department of Financial Services will be responsible for providing a Social Security Number. If you are a legal alien with a work authorization visa, you must apply for and obtain a Social Security Card prior to applying for licensure with the Florida Department of Financial Services.

The Department of Financial Services does not require you to purchase a textbook for this class; hence, everything you will need is already provided within the course shell. For those of you who may still be interested in a resourceful textbook, I suggest the Florida Adjusters Study Manual (most recent edition). You may choose to purchase the textbook from one of the following vendors: • • • • Check with a local college bookstore

This class is based upon the laws of Florida; however, some companies have not fully adopted to these guidelines. You need to understand the concepts how they are taught in this class. Once you begin working (or continue to work) for an insurance company, you may note many variations, specifically in the insurance forms.

For information on how to obtain the Non-Resident 7-20 license, please visit Non-Resident All-Lines Adjuster License

Note: Certificate of Completion is sent via USPS Mail.
