This is an accelerated (fast-paced) CMA Course, which will include a mandatory Orientation prior to the first day of class.

There are two dates available:
SPC Clearwater Campus NM 166
Friday, Sept. 21st  10a-12p
OR
Wednesday, Sept. 26th 1p-3p
 
This class is designed for dedicated students who have work experience in the healthcare field and/or have completed an anatomy course. Typically, the CMA Program is for 16 weeks; however, this is a 10-week format. Be prepared to have readings/watch videos prior to the first day of class, along with attending Orientation prior to class.



ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: 

- Must Have High School diploma, GED or equivalent or FL Ready to Work
- College Level Competency Provided by student, or
- College LevelCourse Work, or
- TABE/PERT Test or College Level PERT Scores (110 Reading, 103 Writing, 114 Math) or TABE Scores

Description:
A clinical medical assistant is a multi-skilled healthcare professional who performs administrative and clinical duties. Clinical medical assistants are primarily employed in a medical clinic or a private physician's office. Completion of this training will allow you to sit for the National HealthCareer Association Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Certification.*

This class consists of:
Hands on training: This blended program includes online, live lab and clinical experience.
300 Hours: 140 hours online, 80 classroom and 80 hour externship*.

Externship hours must be completed directly following the successful completion of the NHA Exam; hours must be completed no more than 30 days after exam.
