This course introduces the student to the Spanish language: its pronunciation, basic grammar and vocabulary along with common expressions and bits of cultural facts relating to our neighbor to the south, Mexico. We follow Mr. Adams, an American businessman as he prepares to visit this country. The emphasis is on the development of listening and speaking skills that will help the student to get along when visiting a Spanish speaking country.
At the end of this course, the student should be able to pronounce common Spanish words correctly, recognize everyday words and idiomatic expressions and put together simple sentences.
No previous experience with Spanish is required.
