Active Assailant Response & Rescue Team Training
The term “Active Assailant” has evolved since the Columbine High School mass killing on April 20, 1999. Training related to these mass killings has continued to change throughout the years. The tactics and skills involved are perishable and require continual training to retain them.
This course will train both Law Enforcement and Fire Rescue/EMS responders together during a 2-day, 16-hour course, unified with realistic and dynamic Active Assailant training scenarios that will give students a detailed insight into this necessary training and cover important life-saving information.
The class will be held at the Hart Building
southeast of main campus and at the end of 32nd street.
Agency approval required before registration. Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration.This course has restricted access to only currently sworn and direct support staff of an agency.
