Search & Seizure - Legal Aspects

This 2-day course is vital for a law enforcement officer’s success. From the potential violation of a constitutional right, resulting in possible state and/or federal liability, to testimony at a suppression hearing, this one topic has the greatest impact on the field.
Instruction will include case decisions and the impact they have in both searches and arrests. Exceptions to the misdemeanor presence rule and other arrest law topics will be explained. Case studies and scenarios are used to learn how each case applies to their jobs.

Agency approval required before registration. Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration.This course has restricted access to only currently sworn and direct support staff of an agency.
