While this course is designed with school resource officers as the main audience, the content in the course applies to any officer who is expected to respond as a single officer to an active threat or shooter incident. Therefore, this course can be adapted for law enforcement officers, no matter their role. This train the trainer course will teach student instructors the course so they can teach other instructors and members of their agency. This course involves a one day live fire exercise.
Eligibility Requirements:
Students must hold an active Criminal Justice High Liability Instructor Certification for Firearms and General Instructor Certification.
EQUIPMENT:
- Duty gear, vest, ear and eye protection.
Agency approval required before registration. Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration.This course has restricted access to only currently sworn and direct support staff of an agency.
