This 16-hr course is for civilian employees of government agencies that enforce parking violations as well as anyone desiring to work in this field. The Parking Enforcement Specialist training is a requirement of most government agencies, therefore, having this certificate should increase a parking enforcement candidate’s chances of finding employment within a government agency.
Students will be required to pass a written exam at the end of the course with an 80%.

Course topics include:
Parking enforcement procedures	Communication skills
State and local ordinances that govern parking	Court testimony and demeanor
Safe operation of official vehicles	Limitations of authority

Agency approval usually required before class. Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration. *Cancellations must be received 14 calendar days before start of class to avoid charge.
