| This 40 hour course will provide the driver/operator of fire apparatus equipped with |
| aerial devices with training in the following areas: types and construction of aerial |
| apparatus, aerial inspection and maintenance, driving, positioning and stabilization, |
| operation of articulating and telescoping aerial apparatus, strategy and tactics, and testing |
| of aerial apparatus.This course of instruction meets requirements outlined in NFPA 1002 |
| Standard For The Fire Apparratus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications. |
| Students will be exposed to various aerial apparatus throughout the course, and must |
| supply their own IFSTA Aerial Apparatus Driver/Operator Handbook, 1st Ed. |
