Students will register through Workforce.
 
This 15-hour certification prep course is designed to prepare students for the FAA Remote Pilot Certificate exam.  Knowledge areas will include: UAS regulations, flight operations, restrictions, loading and performance, emergency procedures, crew resource management, radio communication procedures, determining UAS performance, psychological effects of drugs and alcohol, aeronautical decision-making and judgment, airport operations, maintenance and preflight inspection procedures.

The class is offered through Zoom for 6 weeks, 2.5 hours each meeting.  The course will remain open for an additional 4 weeks to allow students to study independently for their FAA exam.

Please read:  Students will register through Workforce. The class is offered through Zoom for 6 weeks, 2.5 hours each meeting. Class is offered through Zoom with a live instructor. Students will be expected to participate through live lecture. The last 2 weeks will be review for the FAA test. This course is designed for students looking to prepare for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot exam. Students must pick up the textbook for the class at the SPC EPI Center Campus: 2025-2026 Remote Pilot Test Prep: Study and prepare for your remote pilot FAA Knowledge Exam (ASA Test Prep Series). The book includes practice tests that will be reviewed in class. Test prep to take place each meeting time. Class meeting dates are April 1, 2026 - May 6, 2026. Class will remain active for student access through May 29, 2026.
