Apparatus Pump Operator

The curriculum will cover the laws, rules, & driving techniques for emergency vehicles, as well as basic fireground hydraulics. Fireground evolutions are a large component of the practical portion on the course. The evolutions include use of preconnected lines, tandem pumping, drafting, relays, and master streams. Student should have a basic understanding of fire stream hydraulics as demonstrated in Firefighter I and Firefighter II prior to registering.
