This course is designed to demonstrate competencies of the Fire Instructor III related to the knowledge and ability to develop comprehensive training curricula and programs to be used by single or multiple organizations; conduct facility and organization needs analysis; design and manage record keeping and scheduling systems; and develop schedules and training goals and implementation strategies. This will be accomplished through a review of Florida State Statute and Florida Administrative Code related to firefighting, fire prevention and arson as well as a review of the Bureau of Fire Standards and Training electronic data system known as FCDICE. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING: This class is asynchronous and completely online. There ARE no requirements to meet in person or to be online at any specific time. Assignments can be turned in anytime within the two class periods but cannot be submitted after the last day of class. To pass this class, students MUST be able to complete a narrated presentation and upload the presentation to YouTube for sharing with the class.
Prerequisites: Submit proof of BFST1740/ATPC1740 Fire Service Course Delivery AND BFST2741/ATPC2741 Fire Service Course Design, your FC DICE number and a copy of your current Instructor's Certificate before registration to Bain.Gabrielle@spcollege.edu
