The term “Active Assailant” has evolved since the Columbine High School mass killing on April 20, 1999. Training related to these mass killings has continued to change throughout the years. The tactics and skills involved are perishable and require continual training to retain them.
This course will give students a detailed insight into active threat events involving the single officer response.
EQUIPMENT:
- Long sleeve T-shirt BDU pants, tactical boots
- Agency Duty belt with 2 extra magazines
- Ballistic Vest, Clear eye and ear protection
Agency approval required before registration. Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration.This course has restricted access to only currently sworn and direct support staff of an agency.
