This CJSTC course teaches the techniques to become a Certified Handgun Instructor and instruct the Florida Criminal Justice Handguns course. This is a high liability course and is required for instructors desiring to teach in the Basic Law Enforcement Recruit Academy.
It is highly recommended that you practice shooting the CJSTC Law Enforcement Qualification course before taking the CMS Handguns Instructor course. Handgun pre-qualification is completed on the first day.
There is an attendance policy and those attending will be required to pass a written exam by a minimum of 85% and demonstrate proficiencies.
Agency approval required before class.
Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration.
