UAS/Drones Part 107 Test Prep - EDA STEM PROGRAM

Students will register through Workforce.
 
This 15-hour certification prep course is designed to prepare students enrolled in the EDA Stem Grant program for the FAA Remote Pilot Certificate exam.  Knowledge areas will include: UAS regulations, flight operations, restrictions, loading and performance, emergency procedures, crew resource management, radio communication procedures, determining UAS performance, psychological effects of drugs and alcohol, aeronautical decision-making and judgment, airport operations, maintenance and preflight inspection procedures.

The class is offered through Zoom for 6 weeks, 3 hours each meeting and 2 hours each week of independent learning. Students may need to spend additional time each week to prepare for the part 107 FAA exam.

Please read:  This course is designed for students looking to prepare for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot exam and enrolled in the EDA STEM program. The textbook for the class will be provided: 2025-2026 Remote Pilot Test Prep: Study and prepare for your remote pilot FAA Knowledge Exam (ASA Test Prep Series) 2025-2026 Remote Pilot Test Prep: Study and prepare for your remote pilot FAA Knowledge Exam (ASA Test Prep Series). The book include practice tests that will be reviewed in class. Class offered through Zoom with live instructor. Students will be expected to participate through live lecture. Test prep to take place each meeting time. Class meeting dates are May 28, June 4, 11, 18, 25, July 2. Class will remain active for student access through July 30.
