This is Basic Life Support (BLS) certification course using guidelines set through the
Health Safety Institute (HSI) for First Responders
.
The purpose of the training is to help participants acquire or enhance their knowledge and proficiency in high-quality CPR skills and teamwork, applicable to life saving measures to all ages.
Objectives: Elements of high-quality CPR for the adult, child and infant. Demonstrate how to provide effective chest compressions along with rescue breathing with the bag-mask device. Identifying steps in proper use of the AED. Use team roles to effectively provide life saving measures and provide treatment for choking infant, child and adult. This class is unique in the course will provide tips for those pursing their CPR instructor certificate to include how to set up, how to prepare manikins, how to navigate the instructor guide, and how to navigate the videos.
