Internal Affairs *Agency Registration Required

This course will cover the Florida Police Officers Bill of Rights and the Garrity and Loudermill cases. The instructor will identify strategic steps needed to prepare for the investigation and interview.

The course will cover the following topics: identifying allowable evidence, FDLE involvement in the investigation, the process of officer involved shootings, dealing with disruptive and uncooperative subjects, various forms of misconduct and the role of the representative during the investigation.

Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration. This course has restricted access to only currently sworn and direct support staff of an agency.
