Injury and Death Investigations

Injury & Death Investigations is a 40-hour FDLE salary incentive course. This course is designed for patrol officers and new detectives who have limited experience with these investigations. The course will provide insight into investigating the complexity of these types of crimes.
Course Topics Include:
  • The Medical Examiner Role
  • Evidence from Wounds
  • Collections/Preservation of Evidence
  • Police/Prosecutor Role in Case Preparation
  • Crime Specific Investigations
 
*Priority for registration into this class is given to agencies within Pinellas County. Remaining seats will be open to all agencies 16 days from the start date.

Agency approval required before registration. Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration.
