« back to classes page
Police & Minority relations will only improve through realistic, up-to-date training, dealing with the issues head on.  This course will help officers identify & understand the problem, communicate more effectively, ensure compliance with federal & state laws, prepare for hostile encounters, and continue to engage in proactive policing without jeopardizing their safety.  Across the United States, police commanders and community leaders have engaged in numerous meetings to help heal and strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and minorities.
Although these efforts have made positive gains, it is the front line patrol officer & supervisor who are at the greatest risk of a hostile encounter. This course is not designed to create an atmosphere of passive or reactive policing.
Agency approval required before registration. Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration.This course has restricted access to only currently sworn and direct support staff of an agency.
