This three-day course is designed for law enforcement officers assigned to a unit where conducting surveillance is part of their duties. Too often members are assigned to a specialized unit with little to no experience in surveillance techniques. Properly planned and executed surveillance missions greatly increase the probability of successful and important evidence gathering and follow-up on missions conducted against the targeted individual(s). During this program students will participate in
practical Evening/Night Time exercises utilizing different surveillance methods incorporating foot surveillance, as well as mobile vehicle surveillance.
Equipment Required:
- · An unmarked/undercover police vehicle
- · Plainclothes attire
Agency approval usually required before class. Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration.
This course has restricted access to only currently sworn and direct support staff of an agency.
