Why try to schedule with others to observe anesthesia administration when what you want is hands-on practice?
SPC is the largest dental hygiene program in the region and Barbara Mulholland, RDH, BSHS, MSDH, is the lead instructor for this highly interactive course. Personal malpractice insurance is encouraged, but not required. You will be required to complete and sign SPC's Conditions for Student Participation release of liability and medical history form. These forms will be emailed to you after you register.
This course provides the registered dental hygienist with the required hours in both the didactic instruction and the clinical experience for FL certification. You will learn neurophysiology, armamentarium, techniques of local anesthesia administration, local and systemic complications, and the pharmacology of local anesthetic agents. This course will provide instruction to safely and effectively select and administer local anesthetic agents. This course is specifically designed to obtain your Florida certification.
