This 15-hour certification prep course is designed to prepare students enrolled in the EDA Stem Grant program for the FAA Remote Pilot Certificate exam. Knowledge areas will include: UAS regulations, flight operations, restrictions, loading and performance, emergency procedures, crew resource management, radio communication procedures, determining UAS performance, psychological effects of drugs and alcohol, aeronautical decision-making and judgment, airport operations, maintenance and preflight inspection procedures.
The class is offered through Zoom for 4 weeks, 3 hours each meeting and 2 hours each week of independent learning. Students may need to spend additional time each week to prepare for the part 107 FAA exam.
