Studio Lighting

This will be an all day seminar focusing on lighting styles and techniques that are commonly used in fashion photography. We will help you to understand and master the photographers’ most valuable tool, light.  Students will be given the understanding of many different lighting options, including lighting equipment and modifiers used in the studio.  Students will gain an understanding of the differences between fashion photography and commercial.  We will also review current Fashion photographers work in order to gain a better understanding of the current industry standards.  Lunch and instructional materials are included in the cost of the class.

Class Structure:

The day will be broken up into two parts morning/afternoon. The morning portion will be instruction, familiarizing students with equipment, and examples of work. The afternoon will be demonstrations, a Test shoot with a model, and a few hands on activities.

Requirements:

Attendees must have a basic understanding of their DSLR cameras, including Manual settings, such as shutter speed, aperture, and ISO.
