This extrication class will take the student well beyond the basic tools/equipment |
and standard techniques utilized in performing vehicle extrication. Emphasis will be |
placed on scene safety for crews and victims, various vehicle construction components, |
alternative fuels and how to recognize hybrid cars and the special hazards they offer, |
stabilization techniques and monitoring, patient care concerns, and various extrication |
techniques will covered. This class will offer 8 hours of classroom followed by 16 hours |
of hands-on training utilizing information and techniques learned in the classroom. |
