| In this action packed class you will learn how to save another firefighter and save |
| yourself. Through case studies and practical applications you will learn Rapid |
| Intervention Team responsibilities for the tailboard firefighter up to the commanding |
| officer. Topics will include: |
| survival size-up, proactive task of the R.I.T, search patterns, firefighter |
| extrication and removal, mayday (what is it and how to use it), SCBA emergencies, |
| self rescue/bailout techniques, team search, physiology of self preservation, high rise |
| awareness and forcible entry tricks of the trade. The course will cover two days in the |
| classroom and three days of hands-on work to improve your knowledge, skills and |
| abilities. |
