| This 4 hour class explores the four critical questions of structure fire ventilation: Why is |
| ventilation necessay, when is ventilation needed and how long will it take, where is |
| ventilation required, and how should the ventilation be accomplished. Discussion will |
| include the various types of ventilation including PPV, PPA, horizontal, and vertical |
| ventilation as well as VES (Vent, Enter and Search). A review of the various roof types |
| and construction will also be included in the classroom followed by an outside exercise |
| practicing ventilation. |
