Singer Songwriter Workshop

This program is for students who create and perform their own material, or would like to.  Songs will be shared and critiqued.  Special emphasis will be on lyric sheets, timing, songwriting forms and approaches, and ending a song.  Studio recording and time etiquette, the songwriting system, and marketing yourself will also be covered.

SPC will provide microphones, MIDI keyboard, and acoustic piano.  Students may provide other instruments.  Students should bring five of their most influential songs, MP3 player with headphones, their unfinished songs/lyrics, flash drives, and CDs/DVDs.
