Community Policing: Theory to Practice
The overall goal of the Community Policing: From Theory to Practice training is to provide law enforcement, community service providers, business owners, and residents with the information and skills needed to define, develop, nurture, and maintain partnerships to improve the quality of life in their respective communities. Participants will be provided with a framework that will enable them to identify and classify criminal activities such as gang-related violence, drug abuse, property crimes, and to develop community initiatives to address these issues.
