This program is designed for individuals who want to better their English skills. The program presents students with basic, intermediate, and advanced levels of intensive instruction in the areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking. The program specializes in developing these core communicative skills and also prepares students for later academic and professional studies. Students will be immersed in the English language and have the opportunity to participate in cultural trips to enhance language learning and cultural understanding. The lessons accommodate beginner through advanced levels. Students can work at their own pace with guided practice from the instructor. Included in the tuition is the opportunity to study English in a computer lab where students can practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Rosetta Stone® will be used as one of the supplemental classroom materials. This program is separated into five separate registration options – during the traditional sixteen week semester there are also eleven and six week options taking place simultaneously. During the traditional ten week summer semester there is also a five week option taking place simultaneously. This is warranted due to more accurate reporting on a student’s Non-Credit Permanent Academic Record. In this way the Non-Credit Permanent Academic Record will reflect the correct number of hours a student was enrolled for a particular semester.
