CourseGraphic Fundamentally, what is a supply chain and its different functions? How does a supply chain work and what kind of careers are associated with supply chain management? This track defines the concept of the supply chain and all of its components from raw materials extracted from the Earth to retail products ready for purchase by consumers. The principles learned in this track provide the necessary foundation for fully comprehending the following tracks. Supply Chain Principles is a launch pad from which to rocket your learning experience into assured success in the remaining tracks and is recommended as a prerequisite to the other tracks. The Supply Chain Principles track also stands alone as a high-level overview of supply chain management.

After you complete this track, you will have a broad appreciation for how each of the individual supply chain functions operate and how they are ‘linked’ in a chain to enable organizations to plan and execute product and service delivery to achieve customer satisfaction. Since all of the remaining seven certification tracks are introduced at a high level in Principles, this might spark your interest, enthusiasm, and choice for your next track enrollment.

After the listed end date for the class, you will be given a completion grade of an “S” (Satisfactory) or a “U” (Unsatisfactory). You must pass the Common Learning Block assessments with a 70% or higher to earn an “S” grade. This non-credit class grade will appear on your transcript; however, it does not impact your term, cumulative, or overall grade point averages.
