Injury & Death Investigations #036

This course is part of the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission Advanced Training Program. Courses in the Advanced Training Program are designed to enhance an officer’s knowledge, skills and abilities for the job he/she performs. The course will provide insight into investigating the complexity of these types of crimes. The student will understand how to conduct the initial crime scene investigation when a death is involved.
There is an attendance policy and those attending will be required to pass a written exam with an 80%.
This course is eligible for salary incentive.

• Evidence from wounds
• Collection of evidence
• Preservation of evidence
• Police/Prosecutor role in case presentation
• Crime specific investigations

Agency approval required before registration. 
Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration.
