This course of instruction is based on the concept of Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) During this 2-day, 16-hour course the student will be instructed in life-saving medical procedures to aid in their own as well as other causality’s survivability. Principal concepts and actions to be taken for bleeding control, use of a tourniquet, topical hemostatic agents, opening and maintaining an airway assisting the casualty to breathe.
Dress for class: BDU pants, T-shirt, boots, with duty gear.
Agency approval required before registration. Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration. This course has restricted access to only currently sworn and direct support staff of an agency.
