Speed Measurement Course #1158

The 40-hour FDLE course is designed to provide officers with instruction in the principles and operation of radar and laser instruments.  Officers will be required to participate in field exercises to demonstrate an understanding of the practical operation of the speed measurement instruments.  The course provides an opportunity for officers to develop specialized skills in radar and laser operations.  Officers will be required to pass a practical and written test. 100% attendance is required and participants must achieve a minimum score of 80% on the written exam to receive a certificate of completion. 
 

Agency approval required before registration. Agency authorization form required.
Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration. This course has restricted access to only currently sworn and direct support staff of an agency.
